Commercial Foundation Repair
Calculus Foundation Systems not only provides excellent residential services, but we offer many services for commercial applications.
New Construction Helical Piles
Helical piles (also called helical piers, steel piers, mini piles, micro piles, underpinning piers or steel piers) are often used in new construction applications before a foundation slab is poured. The helical pier sections are torque-driven into the ground until the target resistance is reached. Pile caps are then installed to provide greater surface area in underpinning the foundation.
Foundation Underpinning for Large Structures
Many commercial structures experience the same signs of foundation failure as residential homes. However, due to the weight of the structure, it becomes necessary to utilize heavy-duty helical piles and underpinning brackets. Calculus Foundation Systems often use Drive Rite Piering System's heavy-duty helical piles and underpinning brackets to support larger structures. These piles and brackets have incredible load-bearing capacity, most often exceeding the requirements of the job.
Tieback Anchors
Calculus Foundation Systems also installs helical piles (in this application called tiebacks, tieback anchors, or helix anchors) to hault horizontal movement. When a basement or retaining wall is subterranean, hydrostatic pressure builds up as moisture expands the earth on the other side of the wall. Thus, basements, subterranean walls, and retaining walls often experience buckling or bowing. Vertical cracks may appear, or the wall may be obviously shifting. Calculus Foundation Systems utilizes Drive Rite Piering System's sophisticated tieback anchors, adapters, and plates to ensure stability on the affected walls.
Customized Foundation Underpinning
While commercial foundation repair applications most often fall under one of the above categories, we have customized countless solutions for contractors and engineers. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have a customized project.
